Middlebury early decision.

Early decision is one of the most effective ways to manage enrollment. Last year, they accepted 516 ED 1 and 2. If they took 425 in ED 1, and let's say they take 100 in ED 2, that leaves 175 spots for RD applicants, since the target is generally 600 for spring and 100 for Feb. The word is getting out that if you want Midd, apply ED.

The press release says "Early Decision applicant rounds showed increased interest in Middlebury," but didn't specify numbers. I think last year, Middlebury made the decision to not disclose full application stats until after RD decisions were released. We'll learn complete ED 1 and 2 numbers in March..

Early application rounds have gained popularity in recent years with both colleges and applicants. More schools are offering more early admission rounds, with some even offering three (or even four!) opportunities to apply early with Early Action (EA), Early Decision (ED) I and II, and even “hidden” Early Decision III rounds.Middlebury College Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission.
