32 lbs. sounds high for most tires. The right pressure depends on load, and many owners manuals include a load chart. Load charts also may be available on tire manufacture web sites. The wrong pressure can be dangerous and also reduce traction. High pressures also give a rough ride. It's a very good idea to check pressures regularly.
