The Cloisters is a very interesting little museum that is out of the way for the normal tourist but in the summer months it is well worth the trip uptown to see the museum. It has breathtaking views of the river, a lot of nice local restaurants and a small beach park is located at the end of Dyckman Street by the Hudson River.
