Maglock with kingpin kinda sucks. Does anyone else have issues their maglock? My issue is i can only release the mag when the bolt is closed forwards. Thats the only way i get enough space to drop the mag. That kinda defeats the purpose of what they advertise having the ability to remove mags with the bolt locked back.

My own experience with three AR15s and one AR10, all with Maglock and Kingpin is that they're a pain in the ass. Mainly because when the bolt locks back the Kingpin doesn't allow the upper and lower to separate enough for the Maglock tang to fit between the receivers. That means no magazine drop until you release the bolt.Kingpin/Maglock issue with piston AR . I've got a Kingpin/Freedom Fighter setup installed on a piston Sig 516 and a direct impingement AR.
