I'm not sure if it's a glitch or what-have-ye, but finding a synergy can reverse the effects of Duct Tape. I gave a Machine Pistol the power of the Composite Gun, which was amazing, and then I got Shock Bullets and synergized with the pistol and destroyed my creation.
