Headrush vs helix.

I much preferred the HR user interface. Not a lot of difference in terms of building a patch, but it's playing that I found easier with the HR. HR Scenes are easier to navigate in combination with stomps than Helix's Snapshots. It's also easier to group sets of patches into Setlists on the HR. The looper on the HR is quite a bit better ...

When I play my helix through a Headrush FRFR speaker I don't really love the sound. I won't say it's terrible, because it isn't. I just don't like it anywhere near as much as when I play the helix through the fx return of my Marshall DSL amp. When I use frfr I use amp and cab models in the helix. When I play through my Marshall I use ....

Nov 13, 2019 · The 112 would probably make you happier if you gig regularly but costs a bit more and is heavier and larger, although not egregiously so. You get a bigger speaker with more bottom end and maybe more capacity to get over a loud drummer. As other have stated though even the 108 has 2,000 watts peak.It may affected how I preferred Helix models. At the same amp setting ALL amps had more gain on the Helix. When you watch Leo's videos you will hear Headrush amps are noticeably quieter than others. Next time I should probably try with both through an audio interface, with matched up gains and eq's.Jan 6, 2023 · Line 6 HX Stomp. The HR is killer sounding & has less available ...The Helix series is a little more affordable than the Quad Cortex. At first glance the Headrush MX5 is superior to the Stomp and less expensive. 11 blocks, touchscreen is amazing though small on this model, built-in expression, has balanced 1/4" outs like the Stomp, USB recording though I found reamping tricky.

The amp models on the HX Stomp were significantly better than the MX5. IMHO. In general, the MX5 was a huge disappointment. It gets a lot of stuff right but the amp models being notably inferior was a big problem. If the POD Go sounds as good as the HX, I would take it solely for that reason.

Inspired by the Kemper Stage vs Fractal thread, I decided to make my own tier ranking of amp modelers. Tier 1: Buy with confidence. FX and technology aside, one of the biggest things to consider is how you'd use it - the MX5 would allow for some parallel FX routing (Plethora can't do this internally), stereo insert (Plethora can't do this), Amp/IR modeling (Plethora can't), and most importantly "scene" mapping where you can have the control switches affect multiple parameters and pedals simultaneously (Plethora acts like 5 ...The Line 6 pod go is a simple multi-effects pedal with a wide range of amp tones and effects. It doesn't matter if the Helix's processor is more powerful. If its modeling technology is more detailed than the Headrush, that will add to the latency. When the XL came out, I bought that to replace the hx stomp. With the extra hx stomp switches built in to the unit, the unit feels and operates much more like the hx floor. I typically have four tones for about 90% of the songs we play and that means, just like with the floor, I am one stomp away from any of those tones.
